Hello everyone:)

I thought it would be easier, for me, to create one place for updates on Brooke and David. So with that in mind, I am going to start blogging. My goal is to blog daily. So David will be able to check in whenever he can, and will be able to see what Brooke and I are up to. We invite our friends and family to check in on us too.

32 days

Kassy finished the paper chain last night, and I hung it up in the kitchen. I don't think Brooke really understands why she got to take a paper link off today, but she has a few months to figure it out. Today I went to my wives small group, and it really does help to be connected to other women, who are in similar situations, right now. I have had a frustrating and embarrassing week of mistakes, and I really hope that this next week will be better. I found it encouraging to be prayed for, and to pray with some amazing women today. So I suppose even if my week doesn't go quite right; I will get through it knowing that a have a family that will support me, and another family here that will help me too. I am planning to have dinner with at least one friend this week, and so my week is already looking up. I have been having a hard time getting Brooke to sleep, not just for naps, but bedtime too. She just crys and crys while I am holding her at night, and barely is even awake. She even tells me "I so tired," but she keeps herself awake because she doesn't want to be alone. I really don't know what to do. I want her to be able to sleep by herself, but I feel bad making her be alone when she is so insecure about whether or not I am going to leave her. She keeps asking me if I am going to go bye bye on an airplane. She asks about Daddy all the time, and today she asked to watch Daddy on the TV. He made videos of him reading with her, and she really likes them. I also have to listen to a recorded book of Frosty the Snowman a lot. I hear David singing "bumpty bump bump" all the time:) She loves her Daddy, and she was so excited when I told her that after all the papers are gone Daddy comes home. She is such a Daddy'girl already, and that is because David is an amazing father!
